Every day, the members of Local 3101 answer the call, responding to emergencies, protecting lives and property, and providing critical medical care to the residents and visitors of our community. Whether it’s a structure fire, medical emergency, technical rescue, hazardous materials incident, or natural disaster, our members stand ready to serve 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Our profession has evolved significantly over the years. Today’s fire service requires highly trained professionals capable of handling an increasingly complex range of emergencies. While our commitment to protecting life and property remains unchanged, our responsibilities continue to grow alongside the needs of our community.

As President of Local 3101, it is both an honor and a privilege to represent the dedicated men and women of Nassau County Fire Rescue. I have witnessed firsthand the professionalism, sacrifice, and compassion our members demonstrate every day. They willingly leave their families behind, work long hours, and place themselves in harm’s way to ensure the safety of others.

Our union exists to protect those who protect our community. We advocate for fair wages, safe staffing, quality equipment, strong benefits, and working conditions that allow our members to perform their jobs safely and effectively. We believe that when firefighters and paramedics are supported, the entire community benefits.

Local 3101 is committed to maintaining a positive and professional relationship with county leadership, fire administration, elected officials, and community stakeholders. We believe collaboration and communication are essential to building a stronger fire service and a safer Nassau County.

Beyond emergency response, our members are deeply invested in the communities we serve. You will find us supporting local charities, participating in community events, mentoring youth, assisting families in need, and giving back whenever possible. Service does not end when the emergency call is over.
